Lyme Regis : A gluten-free daytrip

The British attitude towards good weather is very much to ‘seize the day’. You never know when the sun will next make an appearance, so the moment you feel a little warmth on your face you whip out the flip flops and the factor 50 and make the most of it. We had one of those glorious sunny days on Good Friday, when my family and I popped down to Lyme Regis for a day at the beach. Lyme Regis is a  lovely place, a quietly thriving old English seaside town with all of the charm and none of the tackiness of parts of the UK coast. We picnicked, we paddled, we ate ice cream overlooking the shore. Heaven. Our picnic was made up of Unearthed antipasti, Sweet Chilli Kettle Chips & houmous, brazil nuts and sweet potato falafels (bought in Waitrose, Bath). All gluten-free. I am the only coeliac in my family, but we have found over the years that it is possible to find really delicious gluten-free food that everyone can enjoy. Later on, I ate my second ever …
