Dough pizza: Gluten-free in Manchester

I’ve been on my travels again, this time oop north to Manchester. I spent a day and a night with my dear friend K, who lives in a fantastic Friends-esque loft apartment in the Northern quarter. As we were catching up we thought it only right to indulge in some local GF food. We went to Dough and feasted. We started by sharing a baked Camembert, which came with delicious, slightly toasted gluten-free bread. It was glorious. Gooey, melt-in-the- mouth, delish. The menu was a joy for coeliacs because almost everything was available gluten-free, and there was a great, inventive variety of pizza toppings and sides that you do not find in places like Pizza Express. We chose two pizzas to share, a Moroccan lamb and a sun-dried tomato and goats cheese topping. I loved the sun-dried tomato pizza, I’m a big fan of traditional Italian toppings and the ingredients here mixed together perfectly. The Moroccan Lamb pizza was yum, with tender and flavoursome meat…I found this one a little heavy but it was great …
